On 06/09/2021, I started my 12-month Mechanical Engineering placement at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, UK. Mercedes-AMG HPP is an engineering company, owned by Daimler, that specializes in developing powertrains for Formula 1, Formula E & the Mercedes-AMG Project One hyper-car. The F1 power-unit is currently (as of 2021) being supplied to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, as well as three customer teams that are: Aston Martin F1, McLaren Racing and Williams Racing.
